It was special on so many levels to be back in Vermont sharing our passion for disc golf!
We have formed and developed important relationships with schools and educators in this area since 2016. Vermont teaching events have been highly successful and crucial in the development of Uplay's presentations, program feedback, and have provided optimal expansion opportunities to develop disc golf educational training for youth and adults alike throughout the state. 
Earlier this year, Zoe attended SHAPE (Society of Health And Physical Educators) Vermont Conference because of such an outstanding teaching presentation during our 2021 Community Connect event at Jericho Elementary School. During this conference, Zoe led a classroom lecture for educators called "Disc Golf in your Classroom." Shortly after this conference, Uplay was contacted by Matthew Lennon, a teacher in attendance who was interested in having Uplay schedule a visit during the GMC.
So needless to say, Uplay was excited to choose Brown's River Middle School for our Community Connect program #12. Brown's River was the perfect fit because of it's proximity to the courses as well as being the district's middle school, which houses grades 5-8, that all local elementary schools, including Jericho (from last year), send their students to. Uplay taught 354 students on Tuesday, and every student decided to take a complimentary Uplay x UDisc putter disc home with them!
Uplay was honored to provide an all-star Pro Ambassador line-up including Ella Hansen, Cynthia Riciotti, Missy Gannon, Luke Humphries, Casey White, Chandler Fry, and newly joined Ambassadors Callie McMoran, and Sandra Richardson. Each Touring Pro was equally honored to teach demonstrate and invite the students to the GMC event over the weekend.
At this time on the Community Connect teaching tour we are happy to announce our total impact on teaching disc golf:
- Children Taught: 2,175
- Teachers Taught: 34
- Adults taught Programs: 278
- Discs given out to children via UDisc: 2,305
